Tsuka (Maintain): The Maintain is similar laquered black end because the saya. Whilst the sword is sheathed the Maintain and saya appear to be one forged piece. The Maintain has been crafted to contour to the tang of the sword, and the form of your fingers. There are pins that secures the tang within the Maintain of the sword.
